DALEKS! Is there anything cooler/scarier/cuter in the Universe? As far as I'm concerned, the ULTIMATE in Stylish robotically enhanced creatures, they just ooze slick art-deco appeal! I've been addicted to these exterminating baddies since I first watched Doctor Who at the age of 4, so two years ago, I figured it was about time to build my own! Of course, living in a smallish 3rd story apartment, I had to make it *a little* smaller than full size, so I opted for a 1/6th scale model to go with my custom Barbies!

This project took me a year of planning, building and finding the right parts! Using plans downloaded from the DalekBuilders Guild and built of balsa, plastic, Sculpey, wire mesh, a radio antenna, a 6oz stainless steel ladle, and lots of black and chrome spraypaint, I firmly stand by my saying that it is at least as accurate if not more so than most of the BBC props used on the show! ^_^ And yes, I know that's a later model "eye" than the 1963 daleks (what I've built) sported, I figured it was more expressive! I wish I had more and better build shots, but I don't, so these will simply have to do!
